Current: SWARM, Public Art Project at HIVE, Ulverstone Tasmania, permanent sculptural work
Louise won an Expression of Interest selection process to produce a permanent artwork for the Central Coast Council (Tasmania) to display in its cultural precinct, Hive. Her work, SWARM, comprises twenty-one hand formed aluminum wire bees, suspended from the ceiling in a swarming formation. Hive opened in November 2021.

Since 2021, Sawtooth ARI has been working closely with the First Space Committee (formerly FNAC) to bring to you over twenty exhibitions featuring local and interstate First Nations contemporary arts practices.
For this special edition of our First Space exhibition calendar, and to launch us into 2026, we are proud to present the First Space Committee group exhibition. Peep into the diverse and evolving practices of the artists and creatives who have shaped First Space to be what it is today. From traditional weaving to contemporary works on paper, this exhibition reflects the breadth of approaches within the First Space program.
Our current First Space Committee members include Bianca Templar, Cheryl Rose, Rod Gardner, and Cindy Thomas.
Sawtooth and the First Space Committee also extend our thanks to former committee members Adam Thompson, Louise Daniels, Vicki West, and Denise Robinson for their ongoing contributions to First Space.

2026: 06 February to 14 March, Devonport Regional Gallery North West Art Circle Annual Exhibition 2026
Louise is a member of the North West Art Circle, a well-established group on the North West Coast of Tasmania, with some 60 members sharing a passion for making art and a collective goal to promote and further develop their arts practice. This enjoyable and ever-popular annual exhibition is a showcase of different themes expressed in a variety of media.

2025: Ocean – Cradle of Life, Leven Regional Arts Major Exhibition, HIVE Ulverstone Tas, 03 May – 20 July 2025
The sea is a defining feature of life on Tasmania’s Central Coast, and Ocean – Cradle of Life is an exhibition that celebrates our connection with the ocean and the life it supports. Leven Regional Arts is named after the river that runs through Ulverstone and has a 150-strong membership of artists and art lovers who live and work in this region. Responding to the theme of ocean life, LRA artists have created a beautiful exhibition of artworks in a diverse range of media and techniques.
Louise’s work, Beach Birds, is a celebration of the health of her local beaches and waterways, and the noisy birds which live there. Charcoal on Canson 240gsm cotton rag paper, 56cm x 76cm before framing, 72cm x 92cm framed. 2024. $1,600.
2025: North West Art Circle Annual Community Art Exhibition & Awards, Main Gallery – Paranaple Arts Centre, 17 May – 28 Jun 2025
The North West Art Circle is a well-established group on the North West Coast of Tasmania, with some 60 members sharing a passion for making art and a collective goal to promote and further develop their arts practice. This enjoyable and ever-popular annual exhibition is a showcase of different themes expressed in a variety of media. It is generously hosted and curated annually by the Devonport Regional Gallery.
Louise has two works in this exhibition.
The Fifth Day is a reference to the biblical creation story and depicts a beach scene with birds in flight at sunset. Oil on linen, 80cm x 100cm, 2025. $3,000
Birds and Sea Creatures also references creation in a quiet scene of gulls and plovers on the beach. Charcoal and ochre on Canson 240gsm cotton rag paper.
